Silhill Crime Update |
||
|
Good evening,
Here is your WMnow update for what has been going on in the Silhill area since our last message and what the team has been up to. Crime Updates:
There was a Theft of Motor Vehicle on Heronfield Way which happened overnight on 02/02/26 - 03/02/26. Unknown suspects have stolen a Red Ford Fiesta from the driveway of an address; the exact time of this is unknown but happened overnight. There was an interference with a vehicle on Milcote Road which happened between 0130-0139hrs on 04/02/26. Unknown suspects have gained access to a locked and unattended RAV4 vehicle; nothing was taken from the vehicle, and the suspects were seen running away. Good News:
The team have made a number of arrests again this week. We have locked up a male who was wanted for x5 Theft From Shops, he has since been charged for all offences and has since attended court for these offences. We have locked up a male who had been detained in store for a Theft From Shop. The male is a prolific shoplifter, as a result of this arrest he has been charged and remanded in custody to attend court. The team also attended and dealt with a Sexual Assault. Fast track enquires led to the arrest of the suspect within 1hr of this offence taking place. The male arrested has since been charged and remanded in custody. We have been out in force targeting vehicles to help tackle the issues raised to us by residents around speeding and drug dealing in the area. We seized a vehicle which was parked on the public road, checks showed that the vehicle was SORN, this is now off the road. We also seized a vehicle which was seen overtaking a learner driver. The vehicle was stopped and from checks, a Section 59 ASB warning had already been issued in September. Clearly the driver did not learn from this and as a result we seized his vehicle. We used information passed to us from the community this week which led to two machetes being taken off the street and disposed of. We will continue to use information passed to us from our local residents to help target and disrupt criminal activity on our area. Head over to our twitter page @LeosWMP to see what the team are up to throughout the week.
We hope you all have a good and safe weekend to come.
Take Care, PC 25474 James | ||
